Form was started in 2014 on the conviction that the person who draws a building should be the person standing on site when it is built. Eleven years on, that is still how the studio is organised.
We would rather turn work away than hand it to someone who has not seen the site.
There is no business development team and no junior tier drawing in isolation. Every project has a lead who is on site weekly and who answers the phone when something is wrong at seven in the morning.
We work in residential, hospitality, workplace and adaptive reuse. We have turned down more work in the last three years than we have taken, almost always because the timeline would have forced us to draw something we had not understood.
Fees are a percentage of construction cost, agreed before we start, with the stages and deliverables written down. We have never issued a variation claim for our own drawings.
